Renting near SUTD for one semester
SUTD's campus sits at the eastern end of the island. The private condominium stock around Simei and Tampines is the realistic short-lease option, since the surrounding housing is heavily HDB.

The catch in this catchment is the same everywhere in Singapore. Much of the nearby housing is HDB, and HDB carries a six-month minimum tenancy per tenant. A single semester of roughly four months, or five once you round to whole rental months, does not reach it. The private condominium stock in these areas is what a one-semester stay can legally take.
